The event – organized by the government of Mexico, through the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), and ECLAC – will continue promoting international, regional and bilateral collaboration on statistics between national offices and international and regional bodies. In the framework of the Conference, a seminar will be held on the linking of statistical information with geospatial information in which participants will debate the need for legislation, inter-agency coordination and technical capacity-building to make progress in these areas.
