This second discussion of this substantive issue addresses the sharing of experiences and criteria regarding the use of new methodologies and new data sources for statistical production, following up on the issues raised at the High- level seminar on integrating non-traditional data sources into national statistical systems, held in 2018 in the context of the seventeenth meeting of the Executive Committee of the Statistical Conference. The seminar takes into consideration recent advances in the region in the statistical use and integration of new data sources, along with capacity-building experiences and needs, with specific reference to the outcomes of the United Nations World Data Forum, hosted virtually in October 2021 in Bern.
